Job Summary
We are a friendly , patient focused pediatric /orthodontic office looking for a registered dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is upbeat, reliable , and comfortable working with children and teens , in a team oriented environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards for patient and staff.
- Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy in documentation of medical history, treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for seamless management of medical records and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile clinical environment.
- Experience with dental assisting procedures
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to provide compassionate care tailored to children’s needs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Understanding of dental terminology related to dental procedures and the ability to document accurately.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
