Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial properties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met
- Clean floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and floor care techniques
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Use cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively to maintain cleanliness across all areas
- Conduct outdoor work as needed for patio or exterior space cleaning and maintenance
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled windows while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with housekeeping management duties such as inventorying supplies and reporting maintenance issues
- Follow manual handling safety protocols when lifting heavy objects or moving equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, especially in residential or commercial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, equipment, and safety practices related to manual handling and heavy lifting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for exterior space maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in housekeeping management or residential cleaning is advantageous
