Teph Seal Auto Experience is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Area Manager to oversee multiple automotive detail shops in Fort Worth, TX. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with strong leadership potential or an experienced automotive professional ready to take the next step in their career.
What You’ll Do
As an Detail Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance and success of your detail shop:
People & Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop detail shop employees.
- Coach and mentor team members to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Lead by example by working side-by-side with your team when needed to help push production and meet deadlines.
Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily operations across multiple shops to ensure consistent, high-quality detailing services.
- Manage scheduling, labor levels, and shop productivity.
- Analyze key performance metrics and implement action plans to hit production and financial targets.
Financial & Business Management
- Monitor budgets and expenses for each location.
- Manage labor costs and production goals to achieve profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
Customer Experience & Issue Resolution
- Ensure exceptional customer service at every location.
- Handle escalated customer concerns calmly and professionally, resolving issues with the customer’s best interest and the company’s reputation in mind.
- Maintain strong relationships with dealership partners and other key accounts (if applicable).
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate expectations clearly to shop leaders and team members.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates on performance, production, quality, and staffing.
- Use both written and verbal communication effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills and a willingness to be “on the floor” with the team when needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid customer service background; able to defuse tense situations and handle complaints professionally.
- Comfortable making decisions, holding others accountable, and driving results.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Automotive Technology, or related field
- OR
- significant experience in the automotive, detailing, or service industry.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or management role (multi-site experience a plus).
- Experience with scheduling, labor management, and basic financial oversight (P&L awareness).

Schedule & Requirements
- Full-time, flexible schedule (weekends and early/late hours may be required)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between locations
- Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active in a shop environment as needed
