Job Overview
Tri-County Paving, Inc. is a locally owned and operated asphalt paving and grading company. This is a full-time on-site role for Class A or B Truck Driver. The individual will be responsible for construction materials and equipment, inspecting equipment for mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. The individual will be expected to maintain accurate records of deliveries and have excellent communication skills to coordinate with the team as well as assist the employees on the ground as needed.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Effectively transport construction materials to and from plants/quarries to jobsites in a timely manner.
- Ability to haul and safely secure equipment on trailers for transport to and from jobsites.
- Execute route driving with precision, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and fuel usage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks is a plus.
