X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant
We're now hiring a part-time X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Taking, chief complaints, vitals and documenting the information in patient's chart.
- Prepare examination room, equipment, and instruments per patient needs
- Position patient correctly for x-ray procedures
- Operate x-ray machine according to established procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Develop, process, and select optimum x-ray images
- Review and evaluate x-rays to determine the quality and if they need to be redone
- Answer patient questions as they relate to the procedure
- Operate within x-ray standards of care
- Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Current NV state limited x-ray tech license in Chest, Torso-Skeletal, Extremities, Skull (preferred), and Digital Radiography
- Medical assistant certification
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- 1 year of clinical experience in x-ray
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to perform patient assessments
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Working knowledge of taking vital signs, chief complaints, EKG, venipuncture, injections, and more
- Fluency in Spanish speaking is a must
- Must be willing to work weekends as well
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
