Job Summary
Our Washington, DC client is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide virtual services to students in grades K–8th grade, with the majority in 3rd–4th grade.
The ideal OT is self-driven, tech-savvy, and deeply committed to culturally responsive care within a virtual learning environment. This role offers flexibility, collaboration with a supportive interdisciplinary team, and a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students.
What You’ll Do
- Provide engaging, evidence-based virtual OT sessions to K–8 students.
- Utilize cultural humility and culturally responsive practices during all student interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, mentors, and support staff to promote student success.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to IEP documentation as needed.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation, including:
- Session notes
- IEP write-ups
- Consultation notes
- Medicaid-compliant billing documentation
- Provide makeup sessions as needed (Fridays are reserved for make-ups).
- Bill and itemize all billable time, including direct therapy, consultation, collaboration, IEP meetings, and IEP documentation.
- Work closely with the school’s mentor and program lead to ensure students receive consistent and responsive services.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Washington, DC OT License (required)
- Active MPI Number (required for Medicaid billing)
- Experience with virtual therapy or school-based practice (preferred)
- Ability to manage a small caseload (approx. 12 students) with professionalism and consistency
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Reliable internet connection and comfort with virtual platforms
- Demonstrated cultural responsiveness, cultural humility, and inclusive practice
Pay: $70.00 per hour
