Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28/hr (W2)
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Aerospace TIG Welder with strong manual and orbital GTAW welding experience. The ideal candidate will have experience welding exotic aerospace alloys, reading blueprints, and working to AWS aerospace welding standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of TIG/GTAW welding experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Orbital GTAW welding systems (Orbitalum, AMI, or equivalent).
- Experience welding Haynes 188, Hastelloy X, Inconel 718, and L-605 (Cobalt).
- Knowledge of purge systems, backing gas control, WPS, WPQ, QTR, and post-weld inspection.
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and welding equipment.
- Weld aerospace components according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Perform pre-weld preparation, post-weld inspection, and dimensional verification.
- Adjust welding parameters to ensure quality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot welding equipment and resolve welding issues.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain/maintain AWS D17.1 certification.
- Strong manual dexterity and basic shop math skills.
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
