This is a contract position from August 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal pending a positive Instructional Performance Review and continued funding each year.
JOB SUMMARY:
Redhouse Arts Center (Redhouse) is a professional, not-for-profit theater serving the community by providing leading and inclusive experiences through its theater and educational programs.
This is an administrative support position for Redhouse in the School District Partnership Programs and is expected to collaborate with the School District Partnership Director, Building Supervisors, and district staff creating unified communication while bringing a positive synergy to the team environment of bringing enrichment opportunities to students.
Responsibilities:
- Showcase effective communication between the school programs and Redhouse Ed. Dept. administrative staff
- Coordinate and schedule daily and long-term substitute teacher coverage across School District Programs
- Manage and track staff absences; ensure timely communication and coverage to minimize instructional disruptions for students
- Assist teachers and substitutes with lesson plans and content when necessary while developing and maintaining emergency substitute plans in an effort to support instructional staff
- Provide logistical support for onboarding and managing substitute personnel.
- Provide instructional support or classroom assistance as needed to maintain student engagement and supervision.
- Manage requisition and distribution of instructional materials, classroom supplies, and resources across school sites, while communicating any missing or damaged items following proper department protocols.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate restocking processes in collaboration with Building Supervisors
- Support general day-to-day operational needs of school buildings, including classroom readiness and resource availability in collaboration with the School District Partnership Director and Building Supervisors
- Respond to urgent operational issues or staffing needs throughout the day, if needed
- Communicate regularly with Ed. Dept. staff to anticipate and resolve coverage and material needs
- Maintain accurate records related to staff absences, substitute usage, and materials distribution
Qualifications:
- Experience in educational administration, operations, or school support roles
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Background working in K–12 school settings or educational environments
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment with a child-centered perspective
- Reliable means of transportation
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
