Position Overview:
7Diamonds, a leading lifestyle brand in the apparel industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Experienced Technical Designer. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with 4-10 years of experience in the apparel industry to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and authorize all apparel samples to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Fit all apparel samples to ensure proper sizing and fit.
- Review and finalize trims before tech packs are completed.
- Update line art sketches in tech packs to reflect accurate design details.
- Work cross-functionally with the production team to confirm timelines, trims, and fabrications.
- Communicate with overseas manufacturers to finalize apparel specifications, including sizing, construction, grading, and measurements.
- Manage a high volume of email communication with vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with various departments including marketing, sales, customer service, and shipping.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively against short deadlines for product approval.
- Utilize strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting important deadlines.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Display adaptability, an analytical mindset, and an investigative approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrate eagerness, passion, and self-motivation to tackle challenges and find solutions.
Qualifications:
- 4-10 years of experience working in the apparel industry as a technical designer.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Adaptability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
