Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support residents with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia
- Administer medication accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Practice safe manual handling techniques to lift, transfer, or reposition residents safely and comfortably
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or residential care environments preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and memory care best practices
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred; ongoing training encouraged
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts
