Job Overview
We are hiring fully experienced cooks who can hit the ground running. This is not a creative position — our recipes are set and must be followed precisely. We serve to-order, restaurant-style meals in a banquet setting, which requires fast, accurate plating of hundreds of dishes during service. Skilled people that are willing to priorotize this job will have precedence. Weekends are a must.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate food exactly to established recipes and specifications
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Execute large-scale plating with precision and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, following all food-service and health-code protocols
- Communicate clearly and follow directions without deviation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and leadership to ensure smooth service
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience (banquet or high-volume restaurant preferred)
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet exacting standards
- Strong understanding of portioning, timing, and plating for large groups
- Must take direction well and follow established procedures precisely
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
- Must be available for 1–4 shifts per week, with schedules provided in advance
- Ability to prioritize this role, even if you maintain another full-time job
Compensation & Scheduling
- $30.00 per hour
- Paychecks issued weekly
- 1–4 shifts per week, depending on event schedule
- Schedules are provided with 2 to 4 weeks' notice
- Meals are provided for all working staff during events
