What will you do as a Behavior Specialist?
- You will be a key member of an individual’s treatment team.
- Networking with local referral sources to build behavior support caseloads.
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine if and what kind of behavior supports may be needed.
- Training and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on behavior modification techniques and support plans.
- Completing routine observations and interactions with clients.
- Maintaining behavior supports documentation such as
o Monthly progress notes
o Behavior data tracking
o Training documentation
o Behavior support plans
- Maintaining a caseload of approximately 30 billable hours/week which equates to approximately 10 clients. (Clients are located within Cambria County)
What are the job requirements?
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social work, or related field.
- 1 year experience working within the IDD/mental health field
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a changing environment
