About SAFVIC
The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Investigator Course (SAFVIC) is a Texas-based nonprofit that provides free, TCOLE-certified law enforcement training across the state. Funded by the Criminal Justice Division of the Texas Governor's Office and the National Violence Against Women Office, SAFVIC equips law enforcement officers, and 911 telecommunicators with the tools they need to effectively investigate sexual assault and family violence crimes.
Our programs include the 24-hour SAFVIC for Law Enforcement, SAFVIC for Telecommunicators, SAFVIC – Human Trafficking, the Advanced SAFVIC, and the Texas Investigation & Prosecution of Strangulation (TxIPS) course. All training is delivered statewide through a network of certified instructors — at no cost to participants.
Position Overview
The SAFVIC Summer Intern will support the day-to-day operations of a statewide nonprofit training program over an 8-week paid appointment (June 15 – August 31, 2026).
