As a Certified Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. There may be additional responsibilities to the ones listed below, as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Administer tests and vaccines as instructed by the provider
- Relay information and messages to patients from the provider
- Pediatric vital signs, eye exams, etc.
- Update and file medical records, faxes, etc.
- Assist provider and nurses with patient laboratory services, referrals, etc.
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven working experience as a certified medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree and active certification in medical assistance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
