We are seeking a dynamic, and compassionate Family Group Decision, Independent Consultant, Facilitator to lead engaging, supportive, and transformative sessions for children, and their families. Duties
- Facilitate group sessions focused on child development, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and family dynamics using evidence-based practices.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages open communication, trust, and active participation among group members.
- Collaborate with social workers, child protective services professionals, and family law specialists to coordinate care plans and support services.
- Manage crisis situations with sensitivity and professionalism, utilizing crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate conflicts or emotional distress.
- Document session progress, participant feedback, and incident reports accurately while maintaining confidentiality standards.
- Engage families in the process by offering resources related to child welfare, childcare, family law, and conflict management to foster ongoing support.
Requirements
- Mandatory Clearances, PA State Police, Childline, and FBI Finger printing
- Valid Drivers License
- Strong knowledge of child protective services protocols, and child welfare practices.
- Skilled in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to handle sensitive situations effectively.
- Excellent conflict management abilities with a focus on de-escalation strategies.
- Familiarity with family law issues related to child custody or visitation is preferred.
- Knowledge of principles applicable to children’s emotional and mental well-being.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations including children, parents, and professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to child protection and family support initiatives.
