Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and sales, with the ability to engage with customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers in a retail store environment, managing inventory, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will play a key role in promoting products through upselling techniques and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
This role requires strict legal compliance (100% ID check policy), point-of-sale management, inventory tracking, and active upselling. Prior convenience store, gas station, or traditional retail experience is highly preferred."
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions and handle cash.
- Engage with customers to promote products and drive sales through effective upselling techniques.
- Supervise and assist in training new staff members as needed.
- Maintain stock levels by organizing inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring product displays are visually appealing.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient store operations.
- Utilize basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory counts.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ due to tobacco and vape product sales requirements.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Basic math skills, including retail math, for handling transactions and stock management.
- Ability to maintaining attention to detail..
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction is essential.
