We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy, experience working with children, and a commitment to ethical patient care. Current RBT certification is REQUIRED. In home ABA experience is REQUIRED. If you only have center based experience please do not apply.
Valid License and vehicle REQUIRED to get to and from client home or community events. Positive and uplifting attitude is required to keep the client happy and engaged. Poor attitude will not be tolerated. Only professional and experienced RBT's that can bring joy to the client should apply. Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to ensure accurate documentation for treatment planning
- Support clients in developing communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through teaching and reinforcement strategies
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Prepare and update medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency of interventions across settings
- Adhere to safety protocols and behavioral health standards while managing challenging behaviors or behavior management needs
Skills
- Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Strong understanding of special education principles and patient care practices
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately for progress tracking and treatment adjustments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with diverse populations
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality requirements in healthcare settings
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with clients’ families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
