Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations. This position involves a variety of tasks, including managing inventory, stocking products, locating items, and ensuring accurate handling and storage of merchandise. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading shipments, preparing orders for delivery or pickup, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, physical capability to handle heavy items, and a commitment to teamwork and safety. This role may also involve performing other duties as requested by the warehouse supervisor or management team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift to move products and materials safely within the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting of packages and products as needed, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed.
- Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory audits.
- Fulfill orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment, delivery, and pick-up in a timely manner.
- Assist in materials handling, including loading and unloading trucks as well as organizing storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts is a plus.
- Strong understanding of inventory management practices and order fulfillment processes.
- Must be able to safely perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required for the position, in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards safety practices and willingness to learn new skills related to warehouse operations.
