Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma center, requiring Siemens equipment experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification.

CT Tech position within the Radiology/Cardiology department at a Level I Trauma facility
Adult acute care and outpatient patient population, with preferred experience in Emergency Department and Pediatric Acute Care settings
Performs abdomen and pelvis CT scans, with and without contrast
Additional specialized procedures may include brain perfusion, CT arthrography, transplant studies, vascular CTA, spine and musculoskeletal imaging, chest, and head/neck studies
Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS system
Epic charting system required
Evening shift, 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Candidates may be required to float within their clinical scope as needed

Minimum 1 year of experience required, with 2+ years of Siemens CT experience preferred
ARRT (R)(CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
BLS certification required
VA or compact state license required if applicable
Epic charting experience required
Level I Trauma experience required
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
BSN preferred
Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
Peripheral IV insertion skills preferred
2 professional references required

Responsibilities include performing CT imaging studies, contrast administration, and supporting diagnostic imaging needs across various patient populations
First-time travelers may be considered if candidate has 2+ years of Siemens experience
Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
Facility maintains a natural nail policy for clinical staff
ER and Psych candidates must complete fingerprinting per Virginia state code, with results typically taking 15-20 business days; candidates cannot start with pending results
Facility conducts background checks as part of the hiring process
Both travelers and permanent staff must have a gap of at least one year before returning as a traveler
Time off requests must be submitted upfront and are subject to manager approval; no time off is granted during the first week of assignment
Orientation includes required learning modules that must be completed by the end of the first week on the unit
