SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the assessment, establishment and promotions of the care environment for the purpose of improving and maintaining healthy resident outcomes. The Supervisor is also responsible for providing professional nursing care according to ANA Standards of Nursing Practice in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards and administrative policies. this position is for Monday - Friday, 11PM - 7AM.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise nurses and ancillary nursing staff effectively.
2. Perform daily rounds to assess staff performance.
3. Check crash carts on all floors and emergency kit weekly and restock as needed.
4. Possess awareness of Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Action Guidelines in order to govern employee conduct.
5. Collaborate with other members of the health care team to promote quality resident care and assume responsibility for the care given under their direct supervision.
6. Demonstrate knowledge, communication skills and values needed for effective teamwork.
7. Maintain ethical and legal standards.
8. Maintain adequate staff with in-house employees, using supplemental staff only in emergency.
9. Plan appropriate nursing interventions.
10. Have computer and EMR knowledge.
11. Assess and chart significant and meaningful observations of residents reflecting nursing process.
12. Assess and identify resident problems, symptoms and behavior
13. Should demonstrate effective communication, tact, patience and understanding with all staff as well as residents and family's.
14. Should demonstrate diplomacy and maintain good attendance as well as following all rules in employee handbook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.50 - $39.50 per hour
