Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. Duties
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver outstanding food service and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and front-of-house activities.
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Handle cash management, POS systems (Toast POS), and cash handling procedures accurately. The ability to learn and utilize Restaurant 365 software.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
- Coordinate shift management, scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours.
- Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and analyzing sales data to maximize profitability.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality excellence and encourages repeat business.
- Oversee catering, banquet services, bar operations, and special events as needed to diversify revenue streams.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food service management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership skills in team management and staff training & development.
- Proficiency with POS systems, adept at cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Deep understanding of food preparation techniques including cooking, food handling, and kitchen management.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, and food safety regulations essential for operational excellence.
- Experience in managing restaurant operations with a focus on customer service excellence in both casual dining and fine dining settings.
- Strong organizational skills for shift management, staff scheduling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to interview candidates effectively and foster a positive workplace culture rooted in hospitality values.
- Familiarity with hotel or catering experience is a plus; culinary background or barista experience can be advantageous.
