Job Title: Line Cook
Looking for an ambitious line cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in a fast pace, fun kitchen, performing routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, preparing and cooking food according to recipes.
Duties:
- Comply with proper safety & sanitation regulations and practices
- Set up, stock & maintain workstations
- Complete opening/running/closing duties as assigned
- Prepare dishes on menu using proven recipes
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor product freshness
- Ensure top quality food orders in a timely manner
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene
Requirements:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Able to stand for long periods of time in hot kitchen environment
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Food handler certificate
