Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and beverage service, ensuring proper presentation and timing
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card payments, and processing tips
- Upsell menu items like wines, spirits, or specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff in maintaining smooth operations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize table turnover
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary needs
- Support overall restaurant operations by collaborating with hosts/hostesses and supporting team members during busy periods
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience with fine dining or upscale establishments is advantageous
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service enhances guest interactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry helps in understanding menu offerings and food handling standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for handling bills, tips, and sales transactions confidently
