Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to repair or modify equipment components as needed.
- Service and repair pavers, excavators, dump trucks , power tools, and other heavy equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Replace or repair tires, shocks & struts, brakes, HVAC systems, and perform wheel alignments to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with heavy truck repair and automotive diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to read schematics accurately for complex mechanical systems repair.
- Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metal assembly.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators, pavers, dump trucks, skid steers, backhoes, etc
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.34 per hour
