Full-Time Occupational Therapist

Essential Job Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- Evaluate client needs and develop plan of care
- Design and implement creative, innovative, and individualized treatment plans
- Write comprehensive evaluations and follow-up reports to include information about current levels of ability and recommendations for intervention when required
- Document aspects of care and meet service standards such as SOAP notes, billing forms, progress updates, reports, and other documents
- Provide quarterly written progress using data collection procedures
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings to include writing goals, objectives, annual reports and providing support and training to client families and caregivers
- Promote generalization as an outcome of intervention to other settings including the classroom and to the client’s home environment
- Develop sensory plans and diets as needed
- Provide training to staff and caregivers as needed
- Participate with an interdisciplinary team to collaborate and develop a comprehensive
plan of care for clients including implementing behavior intervention plans
- Adhere to professional code of ethics
Requirements:
- Master’s degree from accredited university or college
- At least one year of related pediatric experience is preferred
- Current MD license or eligible to attain one
