Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Nassau. This is a Full-Time Days position working 8:30am to 5:00pm.
A Surgical Technologist plays a hands-on role in the operating room, directly supporting surgeons, nurses, and patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Each day requires focus, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.
As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:
Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
Participate in the required call rotation.
Experience Requirements:
Education & Credential Requirements:
Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.
