HOST / HOSTESS – SEA STORY SUSHI
Sea Story Sushi is hiring energetic, polished, and highly organized Hosts/Hostesses to join our opening team!
Sea Story is a Las Vegas and New York-inspired premium All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurant featuring sushi, hibachi, ramen, yakitori, and full-service dining in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Our host team is the first and last impression of Sea Story. We are looking for confident, friendly individuals who can stay organized, communicate clearly, and keep the restaurant flowing during extremely busy services.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome every guest
- Manage reservations and the waitlist using OpenTable
- Accurately quote wait times and communicate updates to guests
- Coordinate table rotation and seating with servers and management
- Maintain an organized and efficient seating chart
- Answer phones and assist with reservation inquiries
- Communicate special occasions, large parties, and guest requests to the management and service teams
- Help maintain a clean and organized entrance and host stand
- Assist with crowd control and guest flow during peak periods
- Professionally handle guest questions and concerns
- Work closely with servers, bussers, food runners, and management to maximize seating efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant host or guest-service experience preferred
- OpenTable experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, extremely fast-paced restaurant
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional, and confident personality
- Ability to multitask while remaining calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must have valid authorization to work in the United States
