American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Weekend rotation (details discussed during interview)

On-call required: typically one weekday per week and one weekend every 5–6 weeks

Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
-
No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted — posted shift is firm

Active GA or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required

Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible to return as a traveler

RTO must be submitted upfront; RTO during the first week of assignment is not permitted, and a maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed for the assignment

Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO allowed; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
