The Assembly Mechanic will be responsible for assembling complex and precision mechanical assemblies and mechanisms, ensuring critical dimensional specifications and proper alignment. This role requires advanced skills in mechanical principles, assembly techniques, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Receives written and verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Reads and interprets advanced blueprint.
- Locates, positions, and moves necessary material and parts using hoist and fork truck.
- Performs layout of "special" parts as required.
- Ability to help load and unlock trucks.
- Willing to train employees and move into a leadership role.
- Ability to fabricate/modify/fit parts as needed.
- Good communication skills.
- Notifies supervisor of any unusual conditions of material, drawings, parts, and shop equipment.
- Meets acceptable time/work standards.
- Keeps immediate work area clean and orderly.
- Works in accordance with established safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/lifting/crawling/climbing.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Extensive experience in mechanical assembly and related tasks.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience required
- Advanced welding experience with MIG-complex parts is a plus.
