The Oasis Southwest Grill is looking for friendly, outgoing, dependable team members to join our Kuttawa location as Hosts/Hostesses.
If you're 16–18, in high school, and looking for your first job or a great part-time job after school and on weekends, this could be a great fit.
No restaurant experience is required ... we'll train you!
What You'll Do
As a Host/Hostess, you'll help create a great first and last impression for every guest who walks through our doors.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Warmly greeting guests as they arrive.
- Managing the guest wait list and seating guests efficiently.
- Escorting guests to their tables.
- Providing menus and helping guests get settled.
- Answering basic questions about the restaurant and menu.
- Communicating wait times accurately and professionally.
- Keeping the entrance, host stand, and lobby clean and organized.
- Monitoring tables and communicating with servers about seating.
- Helping maintain a smooth flow between the dining room and host stand.
- Assisting with takeout orders, phone calls, or other front-of-house duties when needed.
- Helping with opening and closing duties.
- Thanking guests and giving them a friendly goodbye as they leave.
- Supporting servers, bussers, and management as part of the team.
We're looking for someone who is:
- 16 years old or older.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with people.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Positive and willing to learn.
- Comfortable answering phones and speaking with guests.
- Organized and able to keep track of multiple things at once.
- Able to stay calm and friendly during busy periods.
- Respectful toward guests, coworkers, and managers.
- A team player who is willing to help wherever needed.

Physical & Job Requirements
This is an active position. You should be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for most of your shift.
- Moving throughout the restaurant.
- Carrying menus and other light items.
- Working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.
- Multitasking while maintaining a friendly attitude.
