Cook Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children that meet proper nutritional requirements
- Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining and tracking food allergies for each child in our center and communicates identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.
- Adhere to proper food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures ensuring that food is stored and handled properly
- Partner with the Center Leadership team to purchase all food/supplies necessary and keep inventory records as required by local and state agencies
- Provide excellent customer service and positive attitude towards parents and children, listens and communicates effectively
- Demonstrates flexibility to the daily business need of a childcare center
Teacher Role Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in each child
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
Floater Teacher Skills:
- Tutoring: Ability to provide individualized instruction and support to students as needed
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Childcare: Knowledge of best practices in childcare, including health and safety regulations
- Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of child development and how to support growth in each area
- Literacy education: Familiarity with early literacy skills and strategies for promoting reading readiness
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activity into daily routines and lesson plans
- Special education: Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies for supporting students with special needs
- Math: Proficiency in teaching basic math concepts appropriate for preschool-aged children
- Classroom management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Experience working with diverse student populations: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students from various backgrounds
