HOA Porter - Greenwood Village, Denver, CO
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5:00PM
Expected hours: 40/week
Position Summary
The Porter plays a vital role in keeping the property tidy and functioning. This role consists of grounds and building cleaning as well as basic building maintenance. This is hands-on role that requires collaboration with a team and a willingness to learn new skills.
The Porter is responsible for tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager, General Manager, or Assistant General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily cleaning rounds for common areas and other high-traffic areas. Cleaning may include but is not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, dusting, and more.
- Complete basic maintenance tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager, such as swapping lightbulbs, painting touch ups, moving equipment or furniture, and more.
- Complete building tasks as assigned by the on-site General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
- Report cleaning and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain sanitation levels using recommended cleaning supplies.
- Empty trash receptacles transport trash to disposal areas.
- Assist with emergency clean-ups as needed.
- Follow OSHA standards for cleaning solutions.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Remove trash and debris from building exterior.
- Remove graffiti as needed.
- Remove snow and ice as needed.
- Work with maintenance staff to assist on projects as needed.
- Service work orders in common areas.
- May be assigned other duties by the on-site General Manager.
Required skills:
- Lift 50lbs and follow safety procedures.
- Work in standing or sitting positions for long periods; walk and climb as needed.
- Excellent time management and strong work ethic.
- Work well with others and independently.
- Be reliable, flexible, and punctual.
Desired skills, but not required:
- Basic plumbing knowledge, ability to identify leaks and issues. Ability to investigate water intrusion.
- Basic drywall and painting experience.
- Ability to prioritize work orders and incoming requests.
- Basic electrical experience (changing light switches, fixtures, ballasts etc)
- Ability to learn building systems.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
