Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper usage through product demos and detailed explanations
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain accurate stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management practices
- Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, enhancing customer engagement and knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies related to cannabis sales and customer age verification
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a cannabis or similar retail environment with supervising experience a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
- Experience in product demos, upselling strategies, and retail sales transactions is preferred
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for engaging with customers over the phone effectively
