Overview:
The Aircraft Mechanic II serves as the MH-60M non-rated crewmember Flight Instructor.
Responsibilities:
- The Flight Instructor will evaluate assigned crew chiefs (CE) and track flight training records.

Will train and certify individuals on APU engine runs.

Will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft.

Will perform pre-flight and daily inspections.

Will perform flight duties as required.

Will perform aircraft movement as part of a towing team.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Minimum of 500 flight hours required, 100 of which must be in the MH-60M.

Must have flight records for verification of hours and training.

(1) Must have successfully completed one of the following Nonrated Crewmember Flight Instructor courses, Fort Rucker, AL or EAATS, Pa.: 600-ASI N1 (CH-47), 600-ASI N1 (UH-60) or (2) The Aircraft Crewmember Standardization courses at Fort Campbell, Ky.: 600-ASI N1 (MH47), or 600-ASI N1 (MH-60).

Documented Military/DOD service school training required.

Must be in possession of or able to pass a FAA third class flight physical.

Must have own tools/toolbox.

Must be able to complete TDY support missions of 1-2 weeks in length.
