Machine Operator
Location: Stockton, CA
Pay Range: $22.00–$32.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts: Day, Swing, and Weekend options available
Overview
Employnet is seeking experienced Machine Operators to support manufacturing operations. This role involves setting up and operating production machinery, inspecting precision metal components, and ensuring parts meet quality standards while following detailed blueprints and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production equipment, including NC Punch Presses and Press Brakes, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools such as dial calipers, squares, and height gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and print specifications.
- Complete setup sheets, maintain accurate part counts, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and collaborate with leads, programmers, and quality inspectors to improve production processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in precision sheet metal, fabrication, or general machine shop environments.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and part specifications.
- Strong understanding of shop math and use of measurement tools, including calipers and tape measures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
