If you enjoy the energy of a busy kitchen and take pride in sending out great food every time, we’d love to have you join our team. Tractor Shed Café & Farm Stand is looking for an experienced Line Cook to help prepare our fresh, scratch-made breakfast and lunch menu.
We’re a growing, locally owned café in Holderness, New Hampshire, serving breakfast and lunch along with special dinners and a growing catering program. We care about good food, consistency, teamwork, and creating an experience that keeps our guests coming back.
This is an on-site position with daytime hours. Reliable weekday and weekend availability is important.
What You'll Do
- Cook and prepare breakfast and lunch menu items according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch service.
- Make sure plates are accurate, properly cooked, and presented well before leaving the kitchen.
- Work closely with the Prep Cook, Service Coordinator, and front-of-house team to keep service moving smoothly.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Assist with prep before service and kitchen cleanup at the end of the shift.
- Help with food preparation for special dinners and catering events as needed.
- Keep an eye on ingredients and kitchen supplies and communicate when items are running low.
- Communicate with the kitchen team and management to solve problems quickly during service.
- Pitch in wherever needed to support the team.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain consistent quality even during high-volume service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous commercial kitchen or line cook experience.
- Experience with breakfast cooking and short-order service is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing food quality or accuracy.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several orders at once.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
- Comfortable working independently when needed.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Food safety certification.
