Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and welding various materials, particularly in the construction and assembly of railing components. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Fabricator/Welder will work primarily in a shop setting, ensuring that all work meets industry codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Utilize FCAW techniques for welding projects, ensuring strong and durable joints.
- Use tools such as micrometers to measure dimensions accurately.
- Conduct basic math calculations to ensure precision in fabricating processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
- Proficiency in a variety of welder concepts, practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to fabrication and welding.
- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
