We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers in ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding order status and guest requests.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items and service techniques.
- Lighting table side flambe cheese.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of culinary practices or banquet experience is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. We are specifically looking to hire for SUNDAYS.
