Proposal and Marketing Manager

Netta Architects is seeking an experienced Proposal and Marketing Manager to oversee the firm’s proposal development, marketing operations, and production of presentations, branding initiatives, communications, and marketing materials across our New Jersey, New York City, and South Florida offices.
This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and manages marketing staff responsible for proposal coordination, graphic design, branding, communications, and marketing production.
The Proposal and Marketing Manager supports the firm’s business development efforts through marketing execution and pursuit coordination but is not responsible for client development, sales, networking, or business development activities.
Position Overview
The Proposal and Marketing Manager will oversee day to day marketing operations, manage the proposal process, and ensure the timely delivery of high quality marketing and pursuit materials. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who can manage multiple priorities, work effectively with diverse personalities, maintain strict deadlines, and perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing team leadership — Manage the firm’s marketing team, including proposal and graphic design staff.
- Proposal development — Oversee the preparation and production of qualifications packages, proposals, interview presentations, and marketing materials.
- Proposal scheduling — Establish proposal schedules, internal deadlines, and accountability measures to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Cross department collaboration — Work with executive leadership, project managers, technical staff, and business development professionals to develop proposal, presentation, and marketing materials.
- Marketing collateral management — Maintain project sheets, resumes, firm profiles, brochures, presentations, newsletters, website content, and social media presence.
- Industry awards coordination — Support leadership in preparing award submissions, including narratives, graphics, photography, consultant materials, and compliance with submission requirements.
- Marketing standards — Develop and maintain marketing templates, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency across offices.
- Departmental management — Manage priorities, workloads, and resources while ensuring quality control of all marketing deliverables.
- Annual planning — Develop annual marketing goals and budgets for leadership review.
- Brand consistency — Ensure consistency of the firm’s brand and messaging across all marketing platforms and materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of marketing experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Experience managing marketing staff and coordinating multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Experience with RFQs, RFPs, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and pursuit related materials preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong project management and time management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Canva, CRM systems, and content management platforms is a plus.

Preferred Experience
AEC marketing experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience supporting architecture, engineering, planning, construction, or other professional services firms are highly encouraged to apply.
