Immigration Legal Assistant

Our Immigration Law Firm is seeking a full-time Immigration Legal Assistant who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional client service. Immigration experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Bilingual candidates who speak English and Creole are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Docket Wise experience a MUST
- Perform initial case assessments and assist with case preparation.
- Maintain complete and organized electronic case files.
- Keep detailed and accurate case notes in the firm's case management system.
- Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
- Review files for completeness and identify missing documents before submission.
- Assist attorneys with legal research and preparation of filing packages.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Support the legal team with administrative and case management tasks as needed.

Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Available to work in the office Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple software systems and databases.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Positive, collaborative, and results-oriented.
- A team player with a "No Drama" attitude.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
