We are a rapidly growing educational institution based in the Chicagoland area, offering high-quality online enrichment courses for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. We are seeking passionate, responsible, and experienced Chinese Language Teachers to join our instructional team.
Our Chinese program serves students with different ages, backgrounds, and proficiency levels. Courses may focus on Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, literature, culture, and advanced or AP Chinese preparation.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with young learners and can create an engaging, supportive, and interactive online classroom. The teacher should be able to encourage students to communicate confidently in Chinese while strengthening their language proficiency and appreciation of Chinese culture.
Responsibilities
- Teach online Chinese-language courses to K–12 students.
- Provide instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Adapt instruction to students’ proficiency levels and learning needs.
- Encourage students to communicate actively in Chinese.
- Introduce Chinese history, traditions, literature, and culture when appropriate.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and engaging online classroom.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school administrators.
- Attend classes punctually and follow the established course schedule.
- Complete basic course records and other instructional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese, Education, Chinese Language and Literature, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, or a related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese.
- Previous experience teaching Chinese to children or teenagers.
- Ability to explain Chinese vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing clearly.
- Experience creating lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from different cultural and language backgrounds.
- Reliable internet connection, computer, camera, microphone, and a quiet environment suitable for online teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Chinese, education, language instruction, or a related field.

- Experience teaching heritage and non-heritage Chinese learners.
