Medical Assistant in Dermatology: Experience as a medical assistant is preferred
This is a part-time position.
Dermatology Clinic looking for a highly motivated medical assistant. The successful applicant will be coachable and detail oriented in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable & ready to grow with our medical team.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as a Patient Liaison: Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the doctor’s office and often explain the doctor’s instructions.
- Medical Billing & Coding
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for procedures
- Utilizing sterile tray set-up and technique
- Medical Charting (eclinical EMR)
- Medical Scribing
- Assisting the Doctor or PA during procedures
- Cleaning rooms and preparing for the next patient
- Keeps exam room supplies stocked
- Maintains strict quality control for procedures
- Performs miscellaneous tasks that promote smooth operations
- Other duties as assigned by administration
Requirements:
- Available 8am-5pm, for assigned shifts
- Pre-employment Drug Screening & Criminal Background Check
- Valid Driver's License
- Adhere to the No Smoking policy
- Documented Hep B & Tdap Vaccination (or within 30 days of hire)
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients and equipment, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position may also require prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
- Requires exposure to bodily fluids.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
