Little Lights Childcare Center is seeking a passionate, dependable, and nurturing Lead Preschool Teacher to join our growing faith-based preschool community. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who is dedicated to creating a positive learning environment where children can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging classroom activities, fostering meaningful relationships with children and families, and helping create a safe and enriching environment for children ages 2–5. The ideal candidate is a team player, strong classroom leader, and enthusiastic about helping build a growing preschool from the ground up.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, activities, and learning experiences that support children's development.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual growth through intentional teaching and positive guidance.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow teachers to create a positive school culture.
- Support school events, family engagement activities, and center-wide initiatives.
- Model professionalism, kindness, patience, and strong leadership within the classroom.
Qualifications
- Minimum 24 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 2–5).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Ability to successfully pass all required background clearances.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while leading a classroom effectively.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
