Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational programs focused on childhood development and learning milestones
- Support classroom management by organizing materials, setting up activities, and maintaining a clean environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare promptly
- Provide basic first aid and pediatric first aid when necessary, responding quickly to minor injuries or health issues
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support for disabilities
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Passion for teaching young children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with a focus on childhood development and classroom management
