- Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer (PE) with a strong multifamily / podium background to support multiple ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of construction processes, project management, and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Assist Superintendents and Project Managers across all phases, from preconstruction planning through execution and closeout.
Documentation Management: Drive the project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and logs.
Communication: Bridge the gap between field and office, serving as a key liaison between architects, engineers, subcontractors, ownership, and clients to keep information flowing and decisions moving.
Field Support: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, verify spec compliance, identify issues before they escalate, and support the Superintendents in keeping the job running smoothly.
Procore & Bluebeam: Manage Procore project setup, document control, subcontractor correspondence, and reporting. Use Bluebeam to review drawings, markup submittals, and coordinate conflict resolution.
Scheduling Support: Help PMs track milestones, maintain lookahead schedules, and flag critical path risks before they become delays.
Financial Coordination: Assist with budget tracking, change order logs, monthly pay applications, and owner reporting.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in construction project engineering, specifically in multifamily residential projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Procore and Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
