Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and texturizing to meet each client’s unique preferences.
- Apply advanced techniques such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client looks.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Use salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to boost client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling retail transactions.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques and fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Skilled in hair coloring, styling, barbering (including straight razors), and hair extensions.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills to understand client needs and deliver personalized service.
- Ability to perform hair threading, makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions is a plus.
- Experience with retail sales, upselling techniques, store management basics, and retail math is highly desirable.
