Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to residents while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Director of Nursing Services will serve as a key leader in fostering a positive, patient-centered environment, managing nursing staff, and implementing best practices across all clinical areas. Duties
- Provide strong leadership and supervision for nursing staff, including nurse management and care team members, to ensure efficient shift management and optimal resident care.
- Develop, review, and update comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including those requiring assisted living, home health, hospice care, or acute care services.
- Oversee the administration of medical records and documentation review processes using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor clinical operations related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to Medicare guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards, medical terminology accuracy, and documentation protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care, focusing on physiology and anatomy knowledge to optimize health outcomes.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing medical records, documentation, and care plans regularly to uphold the highest standards of nursing administration.
- Manage staffing schedules across shifts, balancing workload demands while maintaining a focus on resident safety and satisfaction.
- Facilitate ongoing training for staff on topics such as HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, nursing best practices, and EHR system utilization.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies such as Medicare auditors or state health departments during inspections or audits.
Skills
- Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies or hospice care environments.
- Proven management skills with supervising experience in nursing management or nurse management roles.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles related to physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management.
- In-depth understanding of Medicare regulations and compliance requirements for long-term care facilities.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and staff supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively across shifts while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
