POSITION OVERVIEW
Under close supervision Provide friendly, responsive food and beverage service to create an exceptional dining experience for all residents and guests. Primary objective is to show our customers such a marvelous time; they will want to return again and again.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
· Make sure the dining room is open, clean, and ready on time each shift.
· Check overall venue cleanliness such as glasses, silverware, china, etc. Ensure that entryway is free of litter, spot check restrooms, and ensure that light bulbs are lit and working properly.
· During shift, check air conditioner and/or heat level. Perform quality environment checks regarding guests and staff.
· Walk through BOH and ensure safety and sanitation are followed. (Sanitation buckets at each location, hand washing sinks are stocked with hand soap paper towel and hot water, all stations are clean and there is no cross contamination, all back of house staff are in clean uniform. Gloves and clean white towels are being used. dish room is clean, and dishwashing machine is in good working order and stocked with appropriate chemicals. Report any violation to Executive Chef and FOH Manager.
· Ensure front of house is following safety and sanitation, check sanitation buckets, clean towels, sanitizer spray bottles for cleaning tables and chairs, hand sinks are clean and stocked with soap, paper towel, and running hot water.
· Greet residents / guests entering the dining room, escort them to their tables, assist them in getting seated, and inform server of their arrival.
· Instruct staff of special party and assign a station to them; rotate so that servers have an equitable service load.
· Check every table and each service station to be sure they are properly set--chairs, china, silver, etc.
· Assure that service is timely and correct, and follows sequence of service.
· Assist in the training of new and current employees.
