Purpose:
Join Athene as an Internal Wholesaler supporting our IBD channel, where you'll play a key role in driving annuity sales through strategic partnerships, proactive Athene is seeking an Internal Wholesaler to support our Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) distribution channel by partnering with Regional Vice Presidents to grow advisor relationships, increase annuity sales, and deliver exceptional service to financial professionals. In this highly collaborative role, you'll provide consultative product expertise, execute strategic territory plans, and help advisors deliver retirement income solutions that meet their clients' evolving needs.
Accountabilities:
Partner with the Regional Vice President to develop and execute territory business plans that strengthen advisor relationships, increase annuity sales, and achieve territory growth objectives.
Conduct proactive outbound sales calls, prospect for new financial advisors, and provide consultative product support, illustrations, sales ideas, and follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
Build trusted relationships with advisors and broker-dealer partners by delivering responsive service, product education, and retirement income solutions tailored to their business needs.
Coordinate webinars, conference calls, marketing campaigns, and advisor engagement activities while maintaining accurate CRM documentation and effective territory management.
Collaborate with internal business partners to resolve operational issues, support marketing initiatives, and continuously improve the advisor experience.
Utilize data, digital tools, and AI-enabled resources to prioritize opportunities, improve advisor engagement, streamline sales activities, and enhance territory performance while maintaining regulatory and compliance standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
1+ years of relevant experience in financial services sales, internal wholesaling, business development, or related experience; annuity sales experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of annuity products, advisor relationship management, consultative selling, and territory management with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to think critically, adapt in a fast-paced environment, leverage AI and technology appropriately to improve productivity, and work collaboratively to achieve business goals.
FINRA Series 6 license required within 12 months of hire. Progress toward or completion of industry designations (e.g., LIMRA, LOMA, CLU, ChFC, RICP) is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems and annuity illustration software preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience preferred.
$56,160.00 - $84,240.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
