Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Job Summary:
The Food Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production team and coordinating support for their efforts to safely meet production goals. The role involves supervising team members, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining product quality. The supervisor will work closely with the production team to meet daily production goals and ensure that all products meet the company's standards and regulations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is crucial for driving continuous improvement and reducing waste in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the assigned production team.

Assign tasks and monitor individual & Team performance to ensure that production goals are met.

Provide training and development guidance for team members.

Address employee concerns and implement accountability measures as needed.

Production Management:
-
Oversee the daily execution of the production schedule to ensure timely and efficient blending, bottling, packaging, and inventory control of juice products.

Monitor production processes and adjust as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.

Ensure that equipment and machinery are operating correctly and safely.
-
Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that required materials are staged / available in advance of production needs.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation:
-
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and eliminate waste.
-
Generate and execute with your team continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.

Train and mentor team members on Lean tools and techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of improvement initiatives and make data-driven decisions.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to identify and address potential issues.

Work with the quality assurance team to implement, maintain, and improve quality control procedures.

Report and document any quality incidents with a focus on capturing lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed.

Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production output, process waste, employee performance, and safety/quality incidents.

Prepare and submit production reports to management.
Qualifications:
-
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Bachelor's degree in food science, manufacturing, organizational leadership, or a related field is highly preferred. Will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Lean Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, walk safely up and down stairs, ladders, and near production equipment.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:

Exposure to seasonal temperature variations, variable noise levels, and moving equipment in a fast-paced environment.
